Privacy Policy
Effective October 9, 2026
- Hike 2650 collects no data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- Your Apple Health data stays on your iPhone. It is never sent to us or anyone else.
- Your journey is saved only on your device.
Hike 2650 is an app made by The Growth Yard (Austin Lee Kennedy), "we" below. This policy covers the Hike 2650 app for iPhone, including its home-screen and lock-screen widget.
Information we collect
None. Hike 2650 has no servers that receive information about you, and it contains no advertising, analytics or tracking software. The app makes no network requests: the map is stored inside the app and works offline. We don't know who uses the app, where you are, or how far you walk.
Apple Health
With your permission, Hike 2650 reads your walking and running distance from Apple Health so the miles you really walk move your marker along the trail. That is the only Health data it reads. It reads distance, not steps, and it never uses GPS or your location.
- Health data is read and used entirely on your iPhone. It is never uploaded, shared, sold, or used for advertising or marketing.
- Hike 2650 never writes anything to Apple Health.
- Allowing Health access is optional. You can turn it off at any time in the Health app, under your profile, Privacy › Apps › Hike 2650, or in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health.
Your journey
Your progress, including your miles, your daily log, the places you've reached, your trail name and your settings, is stored on your device only. We can't see it or restore it. Deleting the app deletes your journey. If you back up your iPhone, the backup may include it, and that backup is controlled by you and Apple.
The widget
The Hike 2650 widget shows your current mile and the next place on the trail. It reads a small summary that the app saves on your iPhone. Nothing is sent off the device to make it work.
Arrival alerts
If you turn them on, Hike 2650 tells you when your walking has carried you to the next place on the trail. These alerts are created on the iPhone itself from your Health distance. No push service or server is involved, and you can turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings.
Sharing
When you tap a share button, Hike 2650 makes a picture of your trail card and opens the standard iOS share sheet. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose where it goes, and whatever you pick handles it under its own privacy policy.
Children
Hike 2650 is suitable for all ages and doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If Hike 2650 ever starts collecting any data, we will say so here and in the App Store privacy details before that version is released.
